A stay at Embalakai Authentic Camp offers the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the magical Serengeti from the comfort of your luxury tented accommodation. In the evening, you can take a moment to relax on the deck or by the campfire under the Serengeti dark velvet night sky whilst looking up at millions of stars overhead in the pure unfiltered wilderness.
There is no greater feeling than ‘letting go’ and embracing the beauty of present moment life, living on natures clock where time is determined by the sunrise and sunset, allowing the day’s events in between to unfold in their own magical.
WHEN TO TRAVEL
The Serengeti National Park is considered to be the most famous National Park in Africa and has been voted ‘Africa’s Leading National Park 2020’ by the World Travel Awards. The Serengeti is renowned for its incredible concentrations of predators, its phenomenal abundance of wildlife alongside some of the most spectacular bird watching opportunities in the region. The Great Serengeti Migration of two million wildebeest is world famous and has to be seen to believed. Any Serengeti safari is guaranteed to be exceptional.

Accommodation
Embalakai Camp has 13 spacious tents which can be set up for single, double, triple or family occupancy. The luxury tents are set up to provide the ultimate comfort. On arrival, guests will be met by our wonderful team of staff, offered a refreshment towel and a cool beverage as they are briefed on the important details of the campsite.
In camp, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere together with a high level of friendly service evokes a feeling of coming home. The stylish main luxury tent looks out over the Nyabogati River and, offers views over the resident baboons tree and over to the distant hills. The main tent is where you will find the dining area where you will enjoy breakfast and your evening meal. The deck is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing sun downer and watch the sun set over the distant hills. After dinner, why not relax at the fire pit area where you can share all the stories and experiences of your safari or maybe listen to tales from some of the team.
Each luxury tent has its own solar unit which provides electricity for the lights, plug sockets (you can charge phones, laptops, cameras, etc) and hot water. The inside bathroom facilities include a private hot shower and a western toilet. Guest tents are fitted with a dresser and mirror, a small cupboard with clothes hanging space as well as a storage trunk. The bedding is high quality 100% cotton sheets as well as a blanket and duvet for the cooler evenings. Each tent has an outside platform with seating and a table which is perfect for listening to the birds sing or catching up with writing your journal. A walkie talkie system is in place, so that you can contact the team at any time.
Activities
The camp is located in a stunning location that runs alongside the Nyabogati River which allows our guests to be fully immersed in nature with a variety of Serengeti birds and wildlife all around. The area is splashed with acacia trees and provides the perfect opportunity to see the sunset behind the distant hills.
Sun downers are the perfect way to relax after a busy day spotting wildlife. A refreshing drink served on the deck whilst watching the sunset over the African Bush.
Families
Families are not just welcome at Embalakai Camp, they are part of our extended family on safari.

Sustainability
The camp uses low impact energy creation wherever they can, and try to minimize waste in the camp. Embalakai are plastic free as much as possible, use solar powered light, recycle and much more. The camp provides a range of eco-friendly and biodegradable toiletries that are sourced from Inaya which is a local Tanzanian company based in Zanzibar that supports local women.
