About
Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. It is the oldest lodge in Chobe and was established in 1959. Right on our doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Chobe Safari Lodge therefore offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls or Caprivi. Chobe Safari Lodge is in close proximity to Victoria Falls International Airport, Livingstone International Airport and Kasane International
Airport – making it easily accessible for safaris around Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa.
WHEN TO TRAVEL
You’ll find a wider variety of bird species during wet season (NEVER write-off the green season). When it comes to movement of animals, during the dry season most animals stay around the river and waterholes. When the wet season begins, interior pans (such as Savuti) provide amazing animal sightings. Although it’s worth visiting all year round; April, May and November are particularly good times.
Dry season: May to November
Ideal for a first time Africa trip. Nights in the Chobe are never below freezing and the days are seldom unbearably hot.
Wet season: Between December and April
January and February are the rainiest months. Spectacular skies can change within minutes from cloudy to sunny to cloudy again. Showers are usually short and heavy, but there are days when the sky remains grey.

Safari rooms offers individually decorated rooms offer every comfort, featuring air-conditioning, ensuite bath & shower facilities. The safari rooms enjoy expansive lawns which form the banks of the Chobe River on your doorstep, complete with patio for additional privacy.
