Kenya is an all-year-destination; big cats don’t migrate, so you will likely see lions, cheetah and hopefully the elusive leopard any time of the year. The famed Great Migration of wildebeest and accompanying zebra arrive in the Masai Mara from July-October (exact timings can differ year-to-year). Amboseli, home to the famed herds of magnificent elephants, is ever a must-do destination and on clear days, get stunning views of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Birding is excellent year-round, from beautiful migratory birds to resident species. Low season (January-June and November) is also a fantastic time to escape the crowds, with equally amazing sightings and experiences.
